Founded in 1951, AKIM Israel is one of Israel's leading organizations supporting 38,000 individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families. Through 69 branches nationwide, AKIM promotes dignity, inclusion, and full participation in society.
Our programs include community living, vocational training, AKIM College, “Equal in Uniform” (IDF integration), after-school and summer programs, health and dental services, legal advocacy, and the “Our Voice” self-advocacy movement—empowering thousands of individuals across Israel to live with independence and belonging.
