General Information
The Ben Zussman Table Tennis Center Jerusalem, is one of the oldest and biggest table tennis clubs in Israel and is considered by many to be amongst the most promising clubs in the country.
Its main table tennis activities in Jerusalem are concentrated in six large Jerusalem suburbs (Kiryat HaYovel, Ramat Sharet, Pisgat Zeev,Givaa Tzarfatit, Armon Hanatsiv and Gilo). Today, about 2,000 players at different levels of proficiency train in various frameworks in these six suburbs.
23 teams of our club have been competing in several divisions, all under the aegis of the Israeli Table Tennis Association:
one men`s, women`s and junior team competed in the highest division (the Israeli National League ).
3 other men`s teams competed in the 2nd and 3rd division and finished in the 1st and 2nd places.
8 men`s teams competed in the 4th division.
6 junior teams competed in the 1st and 2nd junior league
Children and Juniors Activities
About one hundred children and youth are training and playing in our clubs. Most of them train twice a week and the most talented (25 of them) train every day. In the past few years, the proficiency level of our juniors has significantly increased and some of them are already considered to be amongst the best players in Israel in their age groups. We therefore aim to develop and expand our children`s and junior`s groups in offering more training and practice sessions as well as increasing the existing facilities.
Adult Activities
The adult program covers two different areas:
Competitive sports – our players take part in a wide range of events and tournaments in Israel at the national level (approximately 80 players).
Pleasure sports – players who work out for pleasure and for their love of the game. Some of these players participate in competitions held by the Israeli League for Places of the Work Place (about 500 players).
