The Counseling Center for Women (CCW) is Israel's oldest professional non-profit mental health center dedicated to the empowerment, recovery and growth of women through psychotherapy and counseling. In the thirty years since its establishment, CCW has accumulated extensive knowledge on therapy with women and the unique issues that emerge from a woman’s life.
Many women fall through the cracks between private therapy and the overburdened public mental health services.
The therapy fees at CCW are subsidized and based on a sliding scale to serve low-income women. Our program enables access to therapy for women from many sectors of society, including secular and religious women, new immigrants, women from different ethnic backgrounds, and women of all ages.
Among our clients are women who suffer from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and victims of abuse and violence. We also assist women who go through depression, anxiety, eating disorders or illness. CCW supports almost 500 women per year, with approximately 10,000 hours of therapy per year.
Through our center's community outreach activities and training programs for mental health and welfare professionals, we have an impact on thousands of additional women and men each year.
