Tzionei Derech seeks to galvanize the passion of young Israelis from all backgrounds, and religious orientations, to work together on innovative social activism and an exploration of Jewish and Israeli identity. We focus on the
issues of academia and work; connection to the land of Israel; and social leadership.
Tzionei Derech functions according to the following values:
• Activism: tikkun olam, working together as a way to create significant connection
• Belief: belief in people, belief that things can change for the better
• Tolerance: we don’t have to agree but we need to learn to live together, we need to seek out shared values and work together to make the world a better place
• Tradition: Jewish texts as a source of values and inspiration
Our goals
1. 1,200 young people each year will participate in our programs and will become agents of change that promote and act according to the values of the organization
2. Inspire young Israelis to work the land and reconnect to the country
3. Enable young Haredim in Israel to become a more cohesive part of the fabric of Israeli society.
4. Each year inspire at least ten groups of students in academic institutions throughout the country to lead significant and innovative social programming that is based on Tzionei Derech’s core values.
