Bar/Bat Mitzvah for children with disabilities

Donors: 86

"And God created man in God's own image, in the image of God" Genesis 1:27 Every child deserves the opportunity to celebrate reaching the age of mitzvot with dignity, meaning, and joy. For boys and girls with disabilities, this is still too often not a given. Through Adraba – Bar/Bat Mitzvah for Children with Disabilities, the Masorti Movement helps children and their families prepare for this important milestone in an accessible, inclusive, and deeply meaningful way. Using advanced educational tools and adapted teaching methods, the program makes Jewish learning and the Bar/Bat Mitzvah ceremony itself accessible to each child according to their needs. For more than 30 years, Adraba has enabled children with disabilities to take their rightful place in Jewish life and celebration. Although the program is recognized by the Ministry of Education, it is not funded by government ministries and depends wholely on charitable support to continue its vital work.
