Independence Fund

Do not take us and our being here for granted! Do not take for granted that there is an option of Jewish pluralism here. Do not take for granted that there is an option of gender equality, anchored in Jewish tradition and Halacha. It's not a given that we are here, Tens of thousands come to us - To celebrate their Bar and Bat Mitzvah ceremonies, traditionally and equally; To wed under a pluralistic and egalitarian chuppah, in accordance with the tradition of Moshe and Israel; To pray with us on the High Holidays, knowing that we have a place for everyone - women and men, members of the LGBT community, those who come from religious homes, and those who have never held a Siddur in their hands. With both sadness and pride, I want to make it clear that the State of Israel does not support non-Orthodox Judaism in any way. Everything we have accomplished in the past twenty years has been thanks to kind and generous people, who have contributed to this worthy cause. And that, too, should not be taken for granted. Therefore, we are establishing the Veahavta "Independence Fund" - a fund that will ensure the continued existence of traditional, pluralistic and egalitarian Judaism in our area for many years to come. . We ask you to donate generously to this noble cause. Help us to continue creating and maintaining a vibrant, pluralistic, egalitarian, and loving Judaism for all of us.
