Continuing in their footsteps

A month ago we were shocked and brokenhearted to learn of the brutal murder at Eli Junction. Among the four murdered were Harel Masoud and Nachman Mordof, young men who lived on a farm in the eastern Binyamin mountains, guarding at night and grazing sheep by day, out of faith and hope for Israel’s redemption. Since Harel and Nachman were shepherds, and out of a strong desire to commemorate them and their life’s work for which they paid the ultimate price, families and friends decided to establish a unique regional free loan fund that will assist to increase and establish new flocks of sheep in the East Binyamin area where Harel and Nachman lived, worked, and died. In the first phase, the fund will purchase 500 head of sheep that will be loaned to new grazing farms, to allow them to establish themselves and consolidate their presence in the field. Increasing the flocks will allow the breeders to sustain themselves financially by selling a larger quantity of lambs, to gradually return the animals they received and transfer them to new breeders, so the fund will continue to encourage and propagate more and more herds of sheep to protect the open areas in East Binyamin. Help us immortalize the towering legacy of our beloved Nachman and Harel, in a spirit of connection to the land by shepherding, and redeeming the land from its desolation.
