Making a place in the heart of the community! The house for life in the community is a house of connections, bridges and relationships, reciprocity and love in the heart of the Mitzpe Netupa community. We are building the permanent home and ask for your donation. Mitzpe Netofa “A life Long Home” “Bayit Le Chaim“ 5 years ago our community in Mitzpe Netofa elected to work together on a unique project of inclusion and integration of special populations in our community. We worked together with the Ministry of Welfare to enable the opening of an assisted living home for religious women with special needs. This home was opened as the first of a larger housing project for adults with special needs in the Lower Galilee region. Today ,12 lovely women with various disabilities live in the temporary housing accommodations made available in our community, enabling these woman to continue the way of life they grew up in. All women who joined the house are permanent members, (with no members leaving!) The members living in the house receive all that is required and needed for their day-to-day needs, go out every day for employment adapted to their abilities, receive various treatments and enjoy diverse leisure activities. The home operates under the supervision and accompaniment of the Ministry of Welfare. The Bayit Le Chaim members are partners in all community events. They pray regularly in the synagogue in the community, volunteers from the community are involved and run leisure activities such as: public singing evenings, Kabblat Shabbat, Photography, walking groups, Challa baking, sports classes ect. Each member has a friend-mentor from the women/men in our community with whom she meets every week for joint personal recreation. The members also partake in their own volunteer activities such as: escorting an elderly woman, activities with children, distributing spice plants from the community garden and other. The Bayit Le Chaim started opened its doors five years ago in rented temporary accommodation. Now that this project is well established and an integral part of Mitzpe Netofa, we are facing the next stage of this projectbuilding a permanent house. This will enable lifelong stability and security for our members and their families. We have been working diligently planning and receiving the required approvals. We have presented this project to the special funding unit of the National Insurance Institute funds and donations and have succeeded in being approved for major budgeting! We are required to be responsible for the additional portion of the funding. We are reaching out to you to invite you to join us and be partners with us in his inspiring project.
