TORAT SDEROT

A number of years ago, during the arduous times when Kassem missiles were fired from the Gaza Strip and fell in the city of Sderot, Rabbi Yiussachar Meir z"l established a Center of Torah learning, a Yeshiva, in the city. His purpose was to strengthen the residents who remained in Sderot after many had abandoned the city. He wanted to empower the people by forming a group of youth to protect the city spiritually by learning Torah, and to develop it by remaining to marry and build their families there. The Yeshiva's work to attract fine young men has had a positive influence and enriched Sderot both physically and spiritually. The Torah Center also provides tutoring services and assistance to the community. Unfortunately the city of Sderot is still challenged by missile and terrorist attacks. Any contribution to the Torah Center will support the resilience and strength of the city and people of Sderot.
