BBQ Patrol from Yahad Omarim

Our community in Modiin is providing our soldiers with BBQ meals as a token of thanks for their role in  protecting our nation, and in particular, as a way of contributing to their personal and collective wellbeing. Every "BBQ patrol" evening like this can reach between 50 to 180 soldiers, and has an average cost of  5,800 NIS (about 1500 USD) per event. Over the past year, we have held dozens of events, spanning a large number of units and roles, and reaching thousands of soldiers in both compulsory service and reserve duty.  Please note: The donations towards this cause (minus credit card and JGIVE fees) go entirely towards the purchase of the food served at the events (plus cutlery and plates.) All logistics-- such as setup, transportation, cooking and cleanup -- are managed by members of the Yahad Omarim community on a volunteer basis, helping keep costs to a minimum and maximizing the impact of the donations.
