Bshvil HaMachar (Path to tomorrow)

“The Path to Tomorrow… Starts Today" We are an Israeli nonprofit organization established in 2009 to support reservist soldiers who have experienced intense combat situations, helping them overcome the emotional and psychological effects of combat-related trauma. since 2009, "Bshvil Hamachar" has been leading the field in Israel in addressing the effects of combat experiences and PTSD symptoms among combat soldiers after their release from active duty.  Our experience has shown that PTSD symptoms can be addressed effectively if interventions are made immediately and without delay. Timing is critical in these situations to prevent returning soldiers from falling into destructive patterns, such as depression, violence, dysfunction, or even suicidal thoughts. In these challenging times, our work is more crucial than ever! It has a significant impact on the resilience of our soldiers and Israeli society as a whole. Our trauma relief and healing strategies are tried and true: During combat, we have established support groups for spouses, partners, and concerned parents, enabling them to stay strong and provide support. We stand by our soldiers every step of the way. After combat, Through "Bshvil Hamachar" programs, they reunite in the same bond of brotherhood of soldiers who stood side by side, guided by professionals, and embark together on a week-long "Healing retreat" in nature to confront the emotional wounds and invisible scars they carry. Participants consistently report a renewed sense of well-being, enhanced resilience, improved social skills, and better day-to-day functioning. This includes successfully returning to productive work, building lasting personal connections, and improving relationships with family and friends. more than 4,800 combat reservists have participated in our programs, significantly improving their lives. Currently, there is a waiting list of hundreds of groups. It is both our privilege and responsibility to do everything we can to support them. It is our duty to care for them, their mental health – this is our expertise. How can you join and support this cause? - The cost of funding one combat unit's group activity (approximately 15 soldiers) is $40,000. We are committed to assisting 100 groups of combat reservists in the coming year. - For the first time, we are expanding our activities to offer dedicated healing retreats for the spouses of combat soldiers - recognizing that their unique challenge and  the emotional toll they carry. This is an urgent call to action.
