Mifrasim – Sailing for Change A Journey of Resilience at Sea When it feels like all doors are closing - the sea remains open. Since October 7th, hundreds of thousands of Israelis have been living with trauma, loss, and fear. Bereaved families, combat soldiers and terror survivors are struggling to cope and many of them are unable or unwilling to access traditional mental health services. Even those not directly affected by the war like at-risk youth, young adults on the autism spectrum, and survivors of civilian trauma, are now more vulnerable than ever. The emotional toll of ongoing instability, anxiety, and loss of routine is hitting them with full force. They all need more than therapy. They need something else.  And that’s what Mifrasim offers. Aboard a sailing vessel, guided by professional therapists and skippers, people step into a different kind of space. Surrounded by sea and by others who understand, participants rediscover their voice, their strength, and the possibility of feeling whole again. This isn’t a one-time experience. It’s a structured therapeutic process that builds lasting resilience, connection, and hope.
