The Rabbi Shlomo Carlebach Foundation

The mission of the Shlomo Carlebach Foundation is to preserve and disseminate the teachings, music and stories of Rabbi Shlomo Carlebach, zt"l, and to develop communities which will share the love and joy which he radiated. A registered non-profit organization in Israel, the Foundation was established in Jerusalem upon the passing of Reb Shlomo in 1994. Today, it is run from Moshav Mevo Modi'im, which was Reb Shlomo's home in Israel from 1976 to 1994. The Rabbi Shlomo Carlebach Foundation is committed to Reb Shlomo's legacy by preserving a digital archive, which is currently being made available to the public through materials published in print and online. We are also developing the Shlomo Carlebach Heritage Center in Mevo Modi'im to house the archives and provide a visitor's center describing Reb Shlomo's life, teachings and music. As part of its ongoing activities, the Foundation provides assistance to members of the community, facilitates the publication of content related to Reb Shlomo's teachings, supports initiatives that promote his message and organize events to honor his memory.
