Chefs in Shifts:Food for the Frontlines

On October 7th, 2023, Israel was thrust into a state of war. Like so many restaurants throughout the country, Café Asif, a culinary center in Tel Aviv, closed its doors to the general public. Within hours, its kitchen had been transformed, and together with dozens of volunteers began preparing wholesome, hot meals for those in need. Our soldiers return exhausted from the battlefield, both physically and emotionally. Asif | Culinary Institute of Israel, in partnership with the IDF and dozens of restaurants across Israel, has set up a network of commercial-size kitchens with hundreds of volunteers preparing meals. This taste of home feeds not only their bodies, but also their spirit. Your support gives our soldiers a taste of home, nourishes their spirit, and also breathes life into the struggling restaurant industry, providing income for hundreds of families.
