Chamal Har Nof meets the evolving needs of war-affected individuals, aiding displaced families, soldiers on the frontlines, and supporting families of drafted soldiers. Chamal Har Nof is there to help every step of the way. We actively pursue opportunities to assist individuals who have been overlooked by other organizations in receiving aid. Your support empowers us to continue fulfilling this mission. Our organization began with helping 70+ displaced families in our neighborhood and beyond with housing, clothing, food, trauma therapy, care packages, education, simchas (celebrations), and fun, meaningful events to uplift their spirits. Very quickly it expanded to include: ·   Adopting 7018 army base – A unit of 400 reserve soldiers by Chevron The soldiers at Base 7018 are in desperate need of basic essentials. We provide soldiers’ personal needs (tactical gear, boots, jackets, clothing) and base needs (washer, dryer, fridge, freezer, blankets) - all while showering them with love and support through care packages, BBQ’s, Shabbat dinners and gifts for their families. ·       Shlomi and Kiryat Shmona - two towns from the North that were evacuated (approx 28,000 people now in the Jerusalem area) These families arrived in Jerusalem with very little. We provide them with clothing, living essentials, food vouchers, toys, pampering packages for mothers and holiday parties. We enable them to live as much of a normal life as they can under these circumstances. We focus on the children and the seniors - and have therefore made it a priority to  equip a kindergarten and daycare with essentials.  ·   Displaced children with special needs and their staff Our volunteers have built a kindergarten for children with autism, supplying the school with much needed resources and creating a safe space for these precious children. We organize birthday and holiday parties, toys and care packages – filled with extra love and care while meeting their unique needs. ·   Moshav Naama – 1km from Jordanian border  Moshav Naama reached out to us for help. They support all the nearby bases and aren’t managing on their own, especially with all their husbands drafted. Our team stepped in to build and supply a pina chama (rest stop for soldiers), embracing the moshav’s families whose husbands serve, enabling them to help other soldiers. Our volunteers helped build a playground for the children as well. We continue to provide them with clothing, gifts, toys, shabbat meals, holiday parties.  ·   Newborn baby packages for displaced families, soldiers and hostages We partner with Ahava Baby from Brookly, NY to send packages personalized to each family’s needs including clothing, bottles, formula, diapers, blankets, toys, cribs, bouncers, strollers etc. ·       Soldiers on leave from Gaza We take advantage of the soldiers’ leave to show appreciation and support to them and their families by sending care packages, hosting bbq’s etc. After being gone for so long, a short 24-hour visit home for the soldier and his family can be overwhelming. We started the “Day with Daddy” initiative to help the families by planning and paying for a full pampering day including amusement park passes, pizza dinner, toys for the children, massage for the mother and father and family photo shoot. ·   Hospital staff appreciation We want to give back to those who tirelessly dedicate their care to wounded soldiers. To show them that their work is appreciated, we send gifts and make appreciation events to show gratitude to hospital, PT and recuperation staff.  ·   Wounded soldiers support We bring essential equipment and supplies to wounded soldiers in the rehab including orthopedic shoes to supply them with the resources they need to speed their recovery.    Learn more about Chamal Har Nof with the links below: Chamal Har Nof Instagram  Podcast Featured in Modern Jewish Girl Podcast: What We Can Do To Help Israel Chamal Har Nof - Rising to the Challenge  Featured in Ami magazine If you would like to donate by check, please contact us at chamalharnof@gmail.com.
