Bringing Comfort to Israel at War

Tragically, thousands of Israelis have already been emotionally scarred by this terrible war. The appalling number of bereaved families or families whose members have been taken hostage, or whose whereabouts are unknown, are suffering the most. Your support of this initiative can bring badly needed comfort and some degree of solace to these families overwhelmed by sorrow and pain. The Tzohar rabbinical organization has been operating for 27 years. Our organization has about 1,500 volunteers, rabbis, and counselors. Tzohar rabbis are recognized by the Israeli public as a sensitive, loving organization with rabbis working for unity, representing an inclusive Judaism suitable for every Jew, wherever he or she may be on the spectrum of Jewish observance. These rabbis are involved with many of Tzohar’s long-standing programs which require sensitivity and compassion. Because of this, it is only natural that we are willing and ready to take on the present task. Tzohar’s professional rabbinic volunteers are experts in providing this sensitive guidance throughout the funeral itself and the shiva week to follow.
