Keeping the spirit up

Come and take part of Culture of Iron! Your contribution would immediately turn into significant community activism and sponsor an artistic-social event dedicated entirely to the local community, the Gaza envelope evacuees and Negev residents. It’s a pleasure to meet you, we’re Dimona Theater! A creative theater located in the desert city Dimona. Our theater writes its own material and draws ideas from the environment it lives in. Our contents break all boundaries – they reach Dimona residents, nearby cities, and even the Bedouin sector. This war we’re experiencing has added a particularly important role to our theater: maintain community resilience, keep the spirit up, and meet our audience on a daily basis, big and small alike. This is how we operated since the war began and we will continue to do so as much as required. How do you fit into all of this? The financial burden experienced by the theater as a result of the situation is grave, and we’re seeking assistance – whether you’re a lover of culture, theater, the Negev or Israel, come and take part in keeping the spirit up – in continuing the creation! These are the theater’s activities which must go on: Recreational activities for the southern population Performances for children of the nearby sector Music and theater performances, installations, and community events Connecting the Dimona community and Eastern Negev communities to culture as a vessel of change Writing 3 original plays a year! – “Defining and Creating the Southern Story” All of these activities are critical for the purpose of rehabilitating the south and turning it into a region that expresses massive hope for southerners and for all other Israelis.
