The North American Conference on Ethiopian Jewry

The North American Conference on Ethiopian Jewry in Israel has been working for almost 40 years towards the advancement, and the optimal integration of the Ethiopian community into Israeli society as well as the lower and higher educational systems, via unique programs the goals of which are to reduce and close educational gaps, promote excellence, and make quality education accessible to the Ethiopian community, as well as the creation of equal opportunities for social mobility and economic independence. The organization’s vision is to see all Ethiopian community members fully integrated into all areas of life, as equals among equals, and as a natural part of Israeli society, proud of their unique heritage. The organization in Israel accompanies the absorption process of Ethiopian Israelis and helps them integrate into Israeli society. It nurtures and encourages excellence on all levels (from elementary school to high schools, as well as the academy and the managerial reserve of educators).
