Atufim for Employment

The Atufim Program is designed to support and accompany displaced people and communities from the North and South affected during the Swords of Iron War. Atufim includes guidance, mentoring and employment and placement direction, thereby answering both immediate and longer-term needs. It is crucial for evacuees and war refugees to find employment, be it temporary or permanent, in order to be able to support themselves with pride, and to have stability and a reason to get up in the morning, factors which provide emotional and moral strength during these difficult times. The Atufim Program places an emphasis on individual mentoring combined with tailored employment placement. To this end, we are working with Southern and Northern community coordinators to understand the characteristics and needs of each community. Our experience has shown the urgency of finding employment as it prevents depression and creates motivation, thereby addressing financial needs while actually responding to overwhelming emotional needs.
