Lissan End of Year 2023

These have been the most difficult two months we have ever faced at Lissan. The October 7th massacre and the resulting war and mass killings in Gaza have affected each of us on a personal level, forcing us to cope with fear, pain and trauma, while dealing with the implications and challenges the war has and continues to have on our daily lives.  Lissan's community is a beacon of hope in these dark times, but we know that this upcoming year will be especially difficult. We will encounter challenges we have never been required to face, including threats to our work. We wholeheartedly believe that especially now, despite the difficulties and challenges, our work is more important than ever and we will not stop teaching and creating a safe and secure space for positive encounters between Israelis and Palestinians to work together to advance a more just and equal Jerusalem for all of its residents. As 2023 comes to an end, please support Lissan so we can continue to advance a more just and equal Jerusalem, especially during these dark and difficult times.
