The Resilience Game
By Beit Morasha of Jerusalem
Stress & Trauma support for children
The events of October 7th and the ensuing war are traumatic events whose impact will last for many years. We are a group of experienced individuals in the fields of high-tech, gaming-tech, and mental health. Like many others, we understand that the broad implications of these events have a profound effect on mental well-being, particularly for many populations without adequate support. One notable group is children, and we felt compelled to take action. Therefore, we have decided to initiate a project called "The Resilience Game".
We are developing a free gaming application aimed at supporting children struggling with stress (PTSD) and anxiety. The game is based on modern psychological principles alongside advanced and user-friendly gaming features. The goal of the game is to teach children how to manage their emotions and practice therapeutic techniques while enjoying the gaming experience. The game relies on proven psychological research and is led by professionals committed to creating a tool for accessible 24/7 first-line therapy.
We, the "The Resilience Game" initiative members, operate on a voluntary basis with no profit motive. Despite the dedication of volunteers, we also need the expertise of additional professionals, such as programmers, graphic designers, sound engineers, and more. We seek your contribution to help us elevate this remarkable and essential initiative, which we believe will greatly benefit the well-being of children. The earlier the game is developed, the more children it can assist.
