Melabev's Beit Shemesh Day Center

Since 1981, Melabev has specialized in caring for people with Alzheimer’s and dementia. Melabev enables quality of life with dignity and increased self-worth for its clients, and support and respite for their loved ones. The heart of Melabev is its day centers. For 12 years, the day center in Beit Shemesh has provided social and therapeutic activities in English and Hebrew for people with dementia, many of whom are Holocaust survivors. The participants benefit from unique, interactive, multigenerational community programs run by professionals and dedicated volunteers in a warm and caring environment. The center is housed in the simcha hall of a synagogue, which limits the number of people Melabev can serve. The construction of a new building will allow Melabev to meet the growing need for its services in the greater Beit Shemesh area.
