A fund-raising campaign to support and help the recovery of Keith and Aviva Siegel who were kidnapped on 7.10.

Donors: 754

Aviva and Keith Siegel live on Kibbutz Kfar Gaza right by the Gaza border. On October 7th during a brutal terror attack, Aviva and Keith were kidnapped by Hamas terrorists from their home to Gaza. Aviva and Keith have been members of Kibbutz Kfar Gaza for the past 42 years. Aviva, 62 years old, a kindergarten teacher, moved to Israel at the age of 9 with her family from South Africa. Keith, 64 years old, an occupational therapist, made "Aliyah" to Israel from the USA at the age of 21. Together they built their home in the kibbutz. Aviva and Keith are parents of Shai, Gal, Elan and Shir, and have five sweet grandchildren. On October 7th morning they ran into their home safe room. At that time, the kibbutz management instructed the residents to keep quiet, so they communicated with their kids via the family WhatsApp group. Every 20 minutes, they sent a message updating that they are fine. The last message the family received from them was at 10:15 am and then communication was lost. The family waited for over 24 hours until the fighting calmed down and the military forces could scan the houses in the neighborhood. The officer on the ground reported that the house is empty. The family later learned that a neighbor saw them being taken at gun point by armed terrorists. Based on this eye testimony, cell phone tracking and a video published by Hamas They were officially announced as hostages. After 51 days in captivity, Aviva returned to Israel as part of a hostage release deal. Keith was left in Hamas captivity in Gaza. For their rehabilitation process, the Siegel family found a new home for Aviva and Keith when he returns. The house needs a serious renovation and a lot of money is required for their mental and physical rehabilitation. It will be a long journey. For these purposes we want to raise 400,000 NIS to help them restore their lives. Aviva and Keith deserve to live with dignity and love, surrounded by their family. Any amount you can assist with is blessed. Help us bring back the smile and joy to the Siegels! "I have learned that to be with those I like is enough" -Walt Whitman- Many thanks in advance!
