A new Temple at the Arava Spiritual Center

Dear friends and supporters, We have been blessed with the rare and extraordinary opportunity to actively participate in a unique project of erecting a Buddhist temple in Israel, one of its kind in our entire region, dedicated solely for the purpose of spreading the ideas of peace, non-violence, compassion, love, and wisdom, inspired by the Buddha’s teaching. For the past few decades, students of Arava Spiritual Center had the rare and unforgettable opportunity to receive the Buddhist teachings from our dear teacher, Lama Dvora, teachings that guide us to use the precious human life that we have been given, for the ultimate happiness and benefit of ourselves and of all sentient beings, and thus endow them with their deepest meaning. About ten years ago, inspired by the vision of Dear Lama Dvora, we founded the Arava Spiritual Center in Moa Oasis in the Arava. This center is a magnet for spiritual practitioners, who aspire to create a fundamental change in the world, based on the understanding that any desired external change must begin with a deep internal change of consciousness. The Arava Spiritual Center also serves as a launching pad for a variety of activities to benefit underprivileged communities, to promote dialog, peace and harmony in our region, and to foster kindness in the hearts of those who come through its gates. For the dear people who cherish this path, we now have an unprecedented opportunity to sow powerful karmic seeds for the success of our own spiritual paths and for the benefit of all beings, through the establishment of a new Buddhist temple, the first of its kind in our country, and probably in the entire region. This project building the temple will allow us to continue to spread the ideas of compassion, loving-kindness, and wisdom, and to realize them in practice. At the same time, we dedicate the great merit of its construction for the happiness of all beings.
