Kfar Idud is a unique housing complex designed for adults Every resident of Kfar Idud has his/her unique limitations and disabilities including lowered cognitive skills, learning disabilities, functional and adjustment problems, motor and orientation problems, neurological dysfunction or chronic illnesses due to organic brain damage As a result, the residents exhibit a wide range of capabilities which influence their ability to perform independently in all aspects of daily life. A personal program is designed for each resident according to his/her abilities to fulfill his/her potential to become an active member of society inside the village and out. Accessibility Needs - Installation of elevators in building. The needs our residents are intricate and many in terms of age, health and accessibility. Today there are residents whose movements are limited and who live on the top floors. This makes it difficult for them to engage in the village's various activities and affects their quality of life. The residential buildings are 3 floors high and have 20 staircases. The plan is to install elevators with access bridge to each of the floors in the building. Providing accessibility to 3 buildings is essential due to the aging population of the village's residents.
