The 'Bizzur Association' has been operating for about 40 years in Kiryat Shmona and the Upper Galilee, engaging in various activities in the fields of identity and values for the general public, with the aim of strengthening the social resilience of the northern community in Israel. During its years of operation, the Bizzur Association has conducted hundreds of educational, cultural, and identity-related activities for students, university students, and other community members.
The city of Kiryat Shmona has been evacuated since October 20th, according to a government decision. From this moment on, the residents of Kiryat Shmona have been dispersed across the country, from Mitzpeh Ramon in the north to Eilat in the south. Sometimes in groups, sometimes individually, in hotels, in rented homes, or with family members.
The complex reality intensifies day by day, the hardship is unbearable, the distance from home, the lack of equipment, and primarily the feeling of displacement accompany all families in their daily lives. In addition, many students struggle to find their place, and their parents have difficulty finding employment. The distance from friends and the community exacerbates the uncertainty, and the lack of knowledge about when they will return brings the reality to a community in crisis.
In this challenging reality, the Bizzur Association steps in with a variety of special activities in collaboration with other civil society organizations, in order to strengthen the resilience of the community and the spirit of the people.
Activities of the organization during the war:
2. Establishment of equipment distribution centers
3. An open line for support and mental health assistance
5. Nationwide community activities during holidays, events, and routine times
7. Personal accompaniment and tailored responses for families and individuals
9. Community Shabbat gathering
11. Activities to strengthen the connection and spirit of families from the city and to accommodate new families after the war
12. Implementation of volunteer and employment programs for the "Third age"
For us to continue to help the community, we ask for your help
