Mikvah Dagan, Efrat

Efrat, located in Gush Etzion, is divided into seven neighborhoods, each named for one of the seven species indigenous to the Land of Israel: Gefen, Te’ena, Rimon, Dekel, Dagan, Tamar and Zayit. The Dagan Neighborhood recently populated by 400 families is still being built and does not currently have a mikvah, and this has been a source of hardship for many of the residents. The construction of a Mikvah in the Dagan neighborhood is essential in making the ritual of family purity more accessible to the many families living here. Currently, the closest mikvah is located in the Tamar, a 30 minute walk in each direction. Therefore, we are embarking on a campaign to raise money to build a mikvah in our community to serve our our community for years to come.
