Tzurit Moria Nissim is running in the Jerusalem Marathon

Dear all! I wanted to share my plan for the next two weeks with you as I prepare for the Jerusalem Marathon! The decision to participate this year, despite the Israel-Hamas war, came to me because I felt the need to do something meaningful during the war. I will be participating in a 5KM run to benefit the Israel Cancer Association. Life's circumstances have led me to choose a pledge for the Israel Cancer Association: Two years ago, my sister-in-law Zehava recovered from breast cancer and resumed a normal routine. Unfortunately, this year, on the 23rd of Shevat, she passed away from Lymphoma – a quick and lethal cancer – after an excruciating month in hospital. Following her passing, I decided to run in her memory, with the hope that contributing to the Israel Cancer Association will raise awareness to the subject matter, and of course, help women and men who are in the midst of fighting or recovering from cancer. I would be grateful if you could donate or share my pledge. I asked that the timeline for donation be extended till after Purim (instead of ending on the 28th of Adar, 8/3). This way, your donation can be dedicated to Zecher le'Machatzit HaShekel Matanot la EVyonim. Those of you who cannot personally donate, are kindly requested to share this link so that it may reach many people, and dedicate a chapter of Psalms, a prayer or a good deed in memory of Zehava bat Sarah OBM.
