A new Post-Traumatic Disorder Unit

Gaza War A new Depression and Post-Traumatic Disorder Unit Mental Health division - Kaplan Medical Center Since Gaza War, there has been a jump of over 100% in referrals to the Kaplan Medical Center's mental health division, many of them suffering from post-trauma and depression, and as a result, unfortunately, a waiting list has been created and there is an urgent need to open a new unit - a unit for the treatment of depression and post-trauma. The new unit will incorporate virtual reality technology, psychophysics center, and biofeedback. Additionally, we intend to establish a new center for treating depression, bipolar disorder, and post-traumatic conditions, utilizing a new Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT) center. Dr. Didi Israeli, the director of the psychiatric division at Kaplan: "Since October 7th, we have witnessed a significant increase in psychiatric illness, whether in the form of post-traumatic stress disorder, depression, or even more severe conditions. The new unit will enable us to provide much more effective medical care, and with the help of electroconvulsive therapy, we can prevent unnecessary hospitalizations.
