The Walks

The Walks (Co-Walking) is a nonprofit organization supporting Russian- and Ukrainian-speaking teens (ages 12–21) navigating life in Israel after migration, war, and displacement. Since 2022, we have reached over 2,000 teens across Israel through weekly programs, creative labs, and mentorship initiatives that help young people rebuild a sense of belonging, identity, and direction. Our programs combine cultural exploration, peer community, and access to Israeli academic and professional pathways—turning uncertainty into agency. Many of the teens we work with have experienced prolonged stress, instability, and loss. They are rebuilding their lives in a new country—often without strong support systems, and while still forming their Jewish–Israeli identity. In response to growing emotional needs, in July 2025 we launched Israel’s first anonymous, free emotional support chat in Russian for youth. • Over 500 teens have already received professional support • The chat operates daily, providing private, one-on-one conversations with trained specialists • It has become a critical lifeline for teens facing anxiety, loneliness, and crisis situations • Demand continues to grow, especially during periods of security escalation Today, The Walks is both a community and a safety net—offering teens not only meaningful experiences and future pathways, but also immediate emotional support when they need it most. With your support, we aim to expand our reach and provide at least 1,000 consultations in 2026, while continuing to grow our in-person programs across the country.
