Shalev was captivating with his constant smile, kind and radiant eyes, had an abundant sense of humor, full of Happiness, wisdom and wit, loved to help and protect the weak, He cared for others and put others before himself, gave warmth and love to everyone who happened to cross his path and gave his all from the heart in everything he did out of great commitment, diligence, seriousness and dedication, acted in pleasant ways to promote the righteousness of the path, followed his inner truth with strength and determination, spread light, goodness, joy and love, was very humble in his way and always treated everyone with love and respect. Shalev was a fighter in the Golani Brigade, he was responsible for the communication in the 51st Battalion, during the morning patrol of the IDF along the Gaza border fence, he and his team were the first force against dozens of terrorists who crossed the border, they fought bravely and fiercely defended the surrounding settlements , after several battles, the armoredjeep in which they were traveling to defend Kibbutz Nirim was hit by a RPG and he was killed on the spot.He was very connected to the country, he always said: "I am ready to sacrifice my life for the country, so that you can live a better life, I am not afraid of that", the TIKVA song made him very proud and moved to tears. In his life and in his death, he commands us to continue his path with dedication, courage, strength, light, joy of life, giving without return and free love. And these are his last words from 30 July 2023: "Always keep your head up and never give in to anything,To look at obstacles in the white of the eyes and never show weaknessAnd always always always give without asking for anything in return." Shalev was very powerful and present in the lives of many, he managed to connect different people from different places, even in his own death he continues to do so in his own special way and gather different and varied people for one powerful prayer For the preservation and unity of the Jewish people in Israel and the whole world, thanks to him the process of establishing a synagogue in the neighborhood where Shalev lived is moving forwards. The purpose of this fund is to raise funds for the introduction of a Torah scroll for the upliftment of the soul of Shalev and to promote activities for the establishment of the neighborhood synagogue in the neighborhood where Shalev lived.
