Shilo

On Simchat Torah, Shabbat October 7, 2023, thousands of Hamas terrorists infiltrated the western Negev. Shilo Rauchberger HY"D, a Captain at the Southern Research and Development IDF base, fought heroically for hours alongside his soldiers. Although critically injured, he refused to surrender, staying in command of the battle until his last breath. Shilo was 23 when he was killed. He was a graduate of the elite Egoz unit and a Captain of Platoon 51 of the esteemed Golani brigade. His life was marked by selfless giving, volunteer work, and the unique ability to really see those around him. In memory of Shilo, his family and friends are writing a Sefer Torah and initiating projects related to building the Land of Israel to continue spreading the unique spirit that embodied Shilo's life. Please consider partnering with us to give meaning to his enormous sacrifice and keep his memory alive.
