Marking the Birthday of Ariel Charash, z"l

Dear Friends, Woman to Woman is enormously grateful to Devorah and Meir Charash, the parents of Ariel (z"l), who continue his legacy of care for mothers and children who have suffered violence in the home. This year, in the aftermath of October 7th, as we commemorate what should have been Ariel's (z"l) 31st birthday, we embrace many additional families who have been struck by grief. Unfortunately, the events of recent months have also taken a toll on the families served by Woman to Woman. These women and children, who were vulnerable prior to the outbreak of the war, are enduring a crisis within a crisis and are particularly prone to the horrors impacting Israeli society. They face intensified levels of anxiety and instability and more than ever require an experienced professional response. Therefore, we would like to invest in a targeted program aimed at helping six families overcome emotional and other setbacks brought on by the war. Your donations will pay for additional therapy hours, extracurricular activities, summer day camps and support group meetings. We will also direct funds to cover rent, maintenance and other practical needs to enable more extended stays in our apartments. Last year, thanks to your generosity, over NIS 50,000 were raised, which enabled us to open two additional halfway housing apartments. This year, with your support, our goal is to raise NIS 60,000. We remember Ariel (z"l) with love and admiration for his kindness and commitment to the shelter's children. His absence is so palpable as our friendship with Devorah and Meir deepens.
