Healing our IDF veterans and providing them with a better future
Donors: 18
“These are the soldiers who give Israel ‘Peace of Mind’ So friends, it is our duty to help them find their Peace of Mind”, Rabbi Lord Jonathan Sacks Zt"l.
IDF soldiers were thrust into battle in the aftermath of the most devastating attack on the Jewish people since the Holocaust. The horrors they witnessed—and the burden they continue to carry—will remain with them long after the fighting ends. Based on our experience, the vast majority will face some degree of post-traumatic stress as they attempt to rebuild their civilian lives.
Through Peace of Mind, veterans process their combat experiences together with the teammates who stood beside them on the battlefield. Hosted by Jewish communities around the world, they find the time, space, and support to begin their journey home. Participants consistently report stronger emotional wellbeing, healthier relationships, improved daily functioning, and greater resilience.
But healing does not end there. To meet the enormous need, we are training a new generation of therapists to lead Peace of Mind programs, enabling thousands more veterans to receive care. For those living with the most severe, treatment-resistant PTSD, we are advancing innovative therapies—including MDMA-assisted psychotherapy—offering new hope to veterans who have not found relief through conventional treatment.
Together, these initiatives form a comprehensive continuum of care, ensuring that every veteran—from those needing early intervention to those facing the deepest psychological wounds—has access to the treatment, expertise, and hope they deserve.
Thank you for helping those who have sacrificed so much find their way home.
