--- English: The Lotar Association is deeply committed to supporting the veterans of the Counter-Terrorism Unit and their families, especially in light of the challenges and upheaval caused by the Sword of Iron War. During the horrific terror attack on October 7th, the Counter-Terrorism Unit demonstrated extraordinary bravery and capabilities, fighting on multiple fronts to protect the state and its citizens. Tragically, the association suffered a heavy loss with the deaths of five of the unit's warriors and numerous injuries, underscoring the critical need to deepen our efforts in supporting our community. Today, the association focuses on three core areas that reflect its vision and vital role. The Resilience Department leads initiatives for the prevention and treatment of PTSD among unit veterans and their families, providing tailored emotional and mental support. The Commemoration and Heritage Department works to preserve the memory and heroism of fallen warriors, creating intergenerational connections and passing on their stories of valor to future generations. The Mentoring Program, a cornerstone of the association's work, offers unit veterans a personal and professional path to empowerment, aiming to strengthen their status in the community and inspire them to lead and contribute back to Israeli society. The association is actively raising resources to expand its activities in these areas, ensuring comprehensive support for the mental, physical, and social needs of its members while preserving the unit's legacy and strengthening the entire Lotar community.
