Starting Over: Annual Freedom Fund

Since 2017, our nonprofit organization (NPO)  has primarily dedicated its efforts to rescuing, tending to, and rehabilitating various animals, with a special emphasis on donkeys rather than dogs. Since October 7th, we have found it impossible to turn down the growing number of requests and pleas to rescue dogs in dire circumstances. At the shelter, they undergo mental and physical rehabilitation. They are given the opportunity for a life of freedom, security, and a chance to start over. The NPO is supported solely by donations. With your support, we can change their reality, allow the animals to be someone and not something, and allow them to start over. The animals that have yet to find a home still need our help through these challenging times. That is why we established the Freedom fund, which will allow us to continue helping them and those who require our help with steady funding. In addition to the over 1700 animals in our sanctuary, we have several amazing projects: - The donkey flight project, through which we have flown almost 400 donkeys to their forever homes across European sanctuaries. - The Herut Education Center, where we educate about the love of nature and animals, and how to create a better future for today and the next generation. - Rescue and rehabilitate as many animals in need as possible while helping different groups in society cope with their challenges through animal care. - The dog rehabilitation project rescues, cares for, and rehabilitates (medically and behaviorally) dogs to find their forever homes. We lost many significant donors who redirected their contributions to support the families of those kidnapped, the soldiers, and the residents affected by the events of October 7th. We fought tooth and nail to survive financially in 2024. And now we need your help to continue our work throughout 2025. Please consider making a regular monthly donation; however, any amount would be much appreciated, and we will express our deepest gratitude on their behalf. The estimated costs of ongoing activities and work are what the donations will be used for: * Essential equipment: 20 US $ (on average) a month per dog/2 cats * Essential medical care: 20 US $ (on average) a month per dog/cat * Food: 70 US $ (on average) a month per dog/ 2 cats * Medical rehabilitation and training: 365 US $ (on average) a month per dog * Food : 400 US $ (on average) a month per donkey/Horse * Emergency medical care: 4000 US $ (on average) a month per animal Our association donations are tax-deductible for both the USA (501(c)(3) through JGive) and Israel (Article 46).
