For them, for us - establishing the 55th Brigade Heritage House

Since establishment, the 55th paratroopers "Hod Hachanit" Brigade, in 1966 the Brigade has participated and took part of  all the IDF operations. as such, it participated the the 6-days war in 1967 and was the first Brigade entered into the Old City. as part of Yom Kipur war the 55th Brigade crossed the Suez Canal and participated in the operations in Sinai, as well as took part of Lebanon war in 1991, participated in Homat Magen Operation in 2002, took part of the 2nd Lebanon war and as part of the current war - "Haravot Barazl" since October 7th has fully mobilized while its paratroopers has already participated in the Battles that day afternoon and saved life of many civilians.     Asp art of these battels the Brigade has lost 220 of its soldiers.  we, us their brothers in arm past and present, are commanded and obligate to preserve the memory of our brothers.  as such we have started to establish the 55th Brigade heritage house where we provide the story of our unique unite and forever remember our heroes of glory.
