The Fund for Keshatot Children [reg. no. 580540532, recognized charity, clause 46, Israel Income Tax Authority] was established in 2011 by parents of autistic children who studied at the Keshatot Center in order to assist autistic children in their schools. The fund seeks contributions for funding Type2express sessions, which will give the non-verbal children the ability to express themselves through typing. The fund also organizes enrichment and recreational activities provided by local volunteers. Because the Fund for Keshatot Children is run solely by volunteers, all monies raised go directly towards these activities. Your contributions help us fund type-to-express therapies that assist and enable non-speaking and non-reliable speakers to learn how to organize their bodies to point at letters placed in front of them and express their personal wishes and opinions. This is life-changing and opens up communication channels for a person trapped in their body who cannot express themselves through speech. Through your support of the association's children, you greatly alleviate their communication challenges and directly impact the lives of the children and their families, helping them progress towards more independent lives despite communication challenges. Every donation to these autistic children brings us closer to realizing the wonderful potential in our children. The Keshatot ("Rainbows" in hebrew) Center is a multi-regional magnet school serving 90 children age 3 – 13 on the autism spectrum in 2 kindergartens and 11 elementary school classes. These children graduate after the 6th grade and continue in Harim and Bareket high schools. The Fund for Keshatot Children continues to support and fund reflexology, yoga, movement therapies and a behavioral expert [which are not provided by the Ministry of Education] for Keshatot school and kindergarten pupils. All these therapies contribute to improved listening and concentration skills, balance and equilibrium, and also provide relaxing physical activity that leads to inner calm and mindfulness.
