For the October 7th hostages and their families

Kamim Foundation – we’re not Leaving Anyone Behind The Kamim Foundation was established out of a painful but simple truth: the return does not end the moment a hostage comes home. When the cameras switch off and the headlines move on, another journey begins, a journey of daily struggles, ongoing trauma, and the attempt to rebuild a sense of normalcy. A journey the returnees and their families cannot, and should not, walk alone. This is where the Kamim Foundation steps in. Founded to provide a holistic, continuous, and tailored response for hostage families, returnees, relatives, and the families of those who did not return, Kamim recognizes that personal, family, and community rehabilitation is a long-term process requiring resources, guidance, and a steady shoulder to lean on. Who We Are The Kamim Foundation is a social organization operating in Israel since October 2023, dedicated to supporting the community of hostages and their families across all circles of closeness. We connect professional experts, social organizations, NGOs, and business partners to create a comprehensive support framework that addresses basic support such as emotional, communal and occupational needs. We do not replace the family, the community, or the state. Rather, we stand alongside them all to ensure support is not temporary, but lasting. What We Do Emotional and Mental Support The trauma that returnees carry accompanies them and their families at every step. Together with NATAL - Israel’s Trauma Center for Victims of Terror and War, we operate an emotional support system that includes one-on-one counseling, group therapy, body–mind workshops, therapeutic yoga, and surf and running groups based on the understanding that healing requires community, professionalism, and personal resilience. In partnership with the CBN Foundation, we also provide reimbursement our beneficiaries (across first, second, and third circles) for psychological or emotional treatments and/or emergency grant. This allows them to choose the form of therapy most suitable to them, without fearing the financial burden. Retreats and Community Gatherings Together with The Fifth Element, we have developed a series of retreats in Eilat that give families space to breathe and heal. These three-day retreats offer therapy sessions, workshops, sea activities, group circles, in-depth conversations, performances, and community bonfires. Each retreat is tailored to different groups within the community, bereaved families, young adults, parents, ensuring that every participant receives support adapted to their unique reality. Legal Aid - Free of Charge In partnership with the Israel Bar Association and Partners & Co. the foundation provides a pro bono legal aid track for hostage families. This wide-ranging, professional legal assistance, delivered at no cost, helps families navigate complex challenges in diverse fields. The Kamim Helpline An accessible human support line, operated in partnership with NATAL, for anyone directly or indirectly affected by the abduction. The line operates Sunday through Thursday, offering immediate emotional support, referrals for continued treatment, and connections to other available services. Why It Matters The kidnapping did not end with the abduction nor with the release. Its impact continues to accompany the survivors, their families, and Israeli society at large. The return to life is a complex process, one that obligates us as a society not to stop at the first embrace, but to remain present every step of the way. The Kamim Foundation is where the infrastructure for true rehabilitation is built: a place where every family knows they are not alone, that they have support, and that they have a future. Your Place in This Journey Every donation to the Kamim Foundation is not only financial support it is a moral, Jewish, and Zionist statement: we are here, together, never leaving anyone behind. Your contribution funds therapy sessions, workshops, community gatherings, retreats, career rehabilitation, legal aid, and much more. Every dollar helps restore life to life, strengthens the resilience of families, and fortifies Israeli society. Join Us! This journey is long, difficult, and complex but it is also filled with faith, courage, and the capacity to grow again. We invite you to be part of it. We are here to ensure that the embrace does not end but becomes a shared journey of healing and renewal. Contact: shay@kamim.org Web: https://www.kamim.org
