Kibbutz Nir Yitzhak, the largest kibbutz in the Eshkol Regional Council, suffered tremendously severe damage during the events of October 7th, 2023.
We lost eight dear community members. We endured immense trauma as our kibbutz was infiltrated by terrorists, homes were broken into and desecrated, our friends were murdered or kidnapped—some of whom have yet to return.
As a community, we were forced into a prolonged evacuation. We had hoped to return home together, but the aftermath of the tragic events and the new reality in our region have temporarily split our community.
Despite the pain and trauma, we never stopped moving forward. We managed to maintain our community spirit even while dispersed.
Back home, our agricultural sectors and farmers continued working—our dairy farm, citrus groves, and field crops never ceased their efforts.
Yet, the challenge of returning home, rebuilding, and restoring our community—emotionally, socially, and educationally—is immense. But, this is a challenge we embrace with both hands.
We have a long road ahead, and we need you to walk this path with us.
With your support, we will fulfill our commitment to restoring Nir Yitzhak as a thriving, joyful, and secure kibbutz once more.
Our mission is not only to rebuild structures but, above all, to heal spirits and hearts. To create spaces for recovery, build an optimistic future for our children, and reestablish a meaningful and joyful community life—just as we always have!
Join us so that we can bring our community back home and restore our home to our community.
The government’s recovery funds allocated to the kibbutz will primarily go toward rebuilding damaged infrastructure, but they are not sufficient to meet the full scale of the challenge ahead.
To secure a safe and meaningful future for our children, families, and elderly, we need your help to:
• Upgrade educational spaces with color and hope
• Renovate educational and recreational buildings to make them safe and welcoming
• Establish multi-age trauma treatment centers
• Implement educational and community programs to restore daily life
• Revive cultural and social activities to strengthen our communal resilience
Your donation is a vital source of strength and solidarity for the Nir Yitzhak community on our journey back home—revitalizing Zionism and creating a new reality for Nir Yitzhak and the surrounding region.

On October 7th, our lives changed forever as kibbutzim, society, and country. The massacre on October 7th and the Swords of Iron War changed the reality of our lives and the lives of the residents on the northern border of the country and the western Negev. When the fields burned and the house wa...
