In memory and commemoration of Captain Asaf Master - in the youth village of Ayanot

Captain Asaf Master, an officer and a soldier in the Yahalom unit and a commander in the 601 battalion was killed in November 15, 2023 in north of Gaza. • Raised in Bachan • Participated in various sports • Was an instructor in a local youth movement Asaf volunteered for a year of service before his mandatory army service in Ayanot Yputh Village and was the instructor of the Tedhar group. In his daily interaction with the students, he implemented his values: • Optimism • Excellence • Trust • Determination • Constant development and learning • Eye level interaction In his own way, that always included sense of humor, wit and movement, Asaf believed that every student has the ability to succeed, set goals and achieve them and find his place in the group in his unique way. Asaf inspired his students to find a meaningful amry service and was there for them through their entire service. Asaf, in his sensitivity, realized that leaving the daily confined environment of the classes and exploring nature with his students, allows him to connect and help them in a better way. He used to sit with his students by the water tower in Ayanot and talk with his students, connecting with them in very personal level. In his spirit, we are aspiring to create a social-educational nature center, in the name of Asaf Master, that will include the water tower and the area surrounding it and will become a center of study and social gathering for the Ayanot Youth Village students and allow them to increase their curiosity, independence and advance specific proficiencies. We are hoping that the center, in Asaf’s spirit, will allow students and teachers to connect in a unique and special way and will continue his way, that inspired so many – his famil, friends, student, soldiers and commanders.
