Plants Grow People - at the Jerusalem Botanical Gardens

Dear Botanical Friends, When we reached out to you eight months ago asking for your support, we, along with the rest of the world, were still trying to understand what had happened and what would happen next in our beloved country and in Jerusalem at the botanical gardens. It was clear to us then, that our time to really help would be when the country was ready to start healing. We asked you to help us safeguard our plants, maintain our garden and keep our programs going the best way we could. We also promised to develop new programs aimed at helping our resilient communities process their experiences during these dark days and beyond. You understood that Plants not only Grow People – but also that plants can help heal them. Thanks to you, we have been helping thousands of combat soldiers, displaced families, older adults and local communities as they begin the long process of dealing with the horrific realities of war. We turn to you again now, asking for your continued support. The Gardens are still suffering the reduction of both domestic and international tourism and our expenses are growing as the demand and need for community support has increased.
