The Israeli Center for Pediatric Health & Rehabilitation

The association operates a unique rehabilitation treatment center, where rehabilitation treatments are given to children with disabilities and special needs. The center's rehabilitation program was developed in accordance with the tasks detailed in the World Health Organization report "Report on Disabilities and Rights of the Disabled Child". The Ende-Therapy Center is a unique center of its kind in the State of Israel for movement, educational and adaptive rehabilitation, located in the city of Haifa. The activity at the center provides practical tools for dealing with disabilities and chronic diseases in everyday life for years, while slowing down the deterioration and significant improvement of impairments and disabilities and preventing the secondary problems related to them, all with the aim of leading a quality, full and independent lifestyle. Currently, the center treats children with a high percentage of disabilities due to complex pathologies. In addition to treatments, the center organizes special classes and camps for children with disabilities such as music therapy, painting, drama therapy, self-defense, rehabilitative sports, therapeutic sailing, etc. The center also serves as a kind of warm home for the children's parents, supporting the exercise of medical, educational and other rights. The center also takes care of basic food for those families, in cooperation with other associations. Among the association's volunteers are active pediatricians, rehabilitation doctors, physiotherapists, instructors for physical education and child development, and experts in therapeutic bungee and bodo therapy. We emphasize that in Haifa live many hundreds of children with high percentages of disabilities (188%-235%) who need our rehabilitation treatments. Therefore, the association intends to expand the center's activities and take in many more children for treatment. The association, in cooperation with the Haifa Foundation, is looking into expanding the association's activities and other initiatives, such as the establishment of an imaging institute, a dedicated therapeutic pool for disabled children, and the "Doctor's House" - a medical center that will include all specialties in pediatrics and their rehabilitation.
