HOME – A Safe Haven for At-Risk New Olim Volunteering in Israel Rivky, a 19-year-old from New York, grew up in a household filled with chaos and neglect. With no hope for a brighter future, she struggled daily to survive. When the opportunity arose to join Aminadav's National Service program in Israel, she grabbed it with both hands. For Rivky, it wasn’t just a chance to give back; it was her lifeline—a way to escape her past and build a new future. Rivky’s story mirrors that of dozens of at-risk girls who made Aliyah to Israel and chose to serve as volunteers. Each year, approximately 50 young women from around the world—hailing from the U.S., South Africa, the Netherlands, the UK, and Canada—decide to make Aliyah to Israel and join Aminadav's National Service programs. Many of them come from deeply challenging backgrounds: homes marred by violence, emotional and financial neglect, a daily struggle to survive, and a dream of a better tomorrow. Over 60% of these brave young women are classified as at-risk youth. They have left behind painful pasts to embark on a new journey in Israel, committed to serving the country, rebuilding their lives, and finding meaning in their actions. What Do They Need? A safe place. A true home. For at-risk girls who just made Aliyah, the apartment that Aminadav is providing them with is not just a place to sleep—it is a sanctuary where they can recover from their past, gather strength, and rebuild their lives. A safe home provides them with the security to focus on their social contributions, develop skills, and lay the foundation for a stable future. What Is the HOME Project? The HOME Project is dedicated to transforming modest service apartments in Jerusalem into warm, inviting homes for these courageous young women. Through this initiative, we aim to provide: • A Sense of Belonging: A place where they feel loved, protected, and valued. • Security: A stable environment that supports their emotional and financial well-being. • Support: A nurturing space that allows them to focus on growth and giving back to the community instead of simply surviving day-to-day. Our vision is to create living spaces with comfortable quality beds, fully stocked kitchens, and quality furniture—environments that inspire emotional, social, and professional growth. Why Your Support Matters When you support Project HOME, you’re not just offering a roof over their heads. You’re Saving Lives: At-risk girls need a haven to escape cycles of pain and neglect. You’re Creating a Future: This home will be a bridge to their healing, growth, and integration into Israeli society. You’re Empowering Them to Serve: With your support, they can dedicate themselves fully to meaningful work for their communities and Israel. Your donation will help us: Build two fully equipped and high-quality service apartments. Provide at-risk girls with the stability and support they desperately need. Help them rewrite their life stories right here in Israel. Why Now? These courageous young women have left everything behind to serve the country they love. They have chosen lives of action and hope but cannot do it alone. With your help, we can give them the haven they deserve—a place to feel secure, loved, and protected. Donate now and be a part of making real change. Every contribution brings us closer to a future where at-risk immigrant girls can grow, thrive, and build meaningful lives in Israel. Donate Now
