Ginat zohara in&out

Since 2020, during the COVID-19 crisis, a shared dream began to take shape in Zahara in the Katamon neighborhood of Jerusalem. A dream to create a new space, a blank canvas where all community members are invited to take part and showcase the communal identity hidden behind the Jerusalem stone buildings of the neighborhood. A place to express ourselves, make changes, work together, and create a space where we can truly be ourselves. With the help of the Ginot Ha’Ir Community Council, which gave us the opportunity to use the public shelter located right beneath our neighborhood garden, we created a safe space for independent activities by neighborhood residents to promote vibrant, relevant, and local culture. Our list of dreams and projects includes:• A neighborhood bar • An art studio/gallery • A shared kitchen for affordable cooking • A lounge for workshops, lessons, and gatherings • A co-working and study space for remote workers and learners • A studio space for activities like yoga, pilates, and movement • A meeting place for young adults Everything is ready and waiting for you to join us, use it with us, and help us develop it together.
