The Israeli Archery Association: A Journey of Excellence

The Next Generation of Champions Is at Risk: Help Us Save the Future of Israeli Archery! Our young archers have already proven themselves on the international stage, earning 60 international medals in recent years, 10 medals at European Championships over the past year, a historic appearance at the Olympic Games, and breaking several European and world records. But while their success in competitions depends on precision and focus, their future now hinges on something entirely different – our ability to ensure they can continue competing. Severe cuts of tens of percent to sports budgets and the hundreds of thousands of shekels required for securing delegations abroad threaten to prevent our archers from competing internationally. In August, the Youth World Championship is set to take place, with no fewer than 15 Israeli athletes scheduled to compete and bring home historic medals. As things stand, they may be forced to watch the championship from home. The Israeli Archery Association: Empowering the Next Generation of Champions In recent years, the Israeli Archery Association has experienced remarkable growth and success, driven by the dedication and talent of our national teams. Our young athletes have made us proud on the international stage, achieving exceptional results that reflect their hard work and potential. Over the last year alone, Israeli archers have won 10 medals at European Championships, secured 2 tickets to the Olympic Games, won 1 ticket to the World Games in 2025 (the first for Israel in any sport), set a European U21 record, and won a total of 60 international medals over the last Olympic cycle. These achievements are a testament to their commitment to excellence and the strength of our program. Facing Challenges, Supporting Our Athletes Despite these accomplishments, our young athletes face significant challenges due to financial constraints. The ongoing conflict has placed additional burdens on our association, including rising travel costs as flight companies withdraw from Israel and tens of thousands of dollars in added security expenses to ensure the safety of our teams abroad. These challenges have severely impacted our ability to support athletes from less fortunate backgrounds, with some talented young archers unable to compete in critical competitions due to a lack of funding. Looking ahead, the funding situation is expected to worsen, with national sports budgets anticipated to face cuts of 35%-50% due to the ongoing financial impact of the war. This means that without additional support, many more of our young athletes will be unable to pursue their dreams and represent Israel on the world stage. Building a Stronger Future for Israeli Archery Our young national team athletes represent the future of Israeli archery, and their potential to achieve greatness is immense. With your support, we can ensure that these talented individuals continue to thrive and bring pride to Israel. Your contribution will help us: • Cover travel expenses for international competitions, ensuring our athletes can compete at the highest levels. • Provide top-quality equipment and training resources to support their development. • Enable participation in international training camps, where they can learn from the best and gain invaluable experience. How You Can Make a Difference Your donation will be the key to unlocking the potential of Israel's next generation of archery champions.
