Donations in honour of Joey’s barmitzvah

The Shivtei Gemach provides food cards, assists with bill payment and short-term loans to those in need. “Gemach” stands for Gemilut Chasadim—acts of kindness—and that’s exactly what we do. We are a group of volunteers from our community who, with the help of generous donations, are able to help families that are struggling to make ends meet. The Gemach helps Ra’anana residents who are in need. We work with the schools, the municipality (iriyah) and many other organizations to find individuals and families of all sizes, regardless of background. As the war continues to wage on, the economy has taken a big hit. The Shivtei Gemach continues to help those most affected - single parents, those who have lost their livelihood and displaced families to name a few. Over 100 families are helped every year, with the number continuously increasing. The Gemach‘s dedicated group listens, guides, and offers financial assistance to those brave enough to ask for help. We operate with complete confidentiality, transparency and zero overhead, thanks to the support of the Shivtei office. Money donated goes directly to families in need.
