The Guardianship Program

"Yeladim-Fair Chance for Children" supports approximately 100 children who have experienced neglect, abuse, and pain and have been left without parents capable of caring for them. The support is provided by guardians and experienced social workers who are available for the children 24/7 until they reach adulthood. The team travels daily to residential facilities across the country, offering the children a supportive shoulder and, most importantly, giving them the sense that there is an adult in the world who loves and cares for them. The guardians provide the children with life experiences to help them feel like any other kids their age — taking them to the beach for the first time, celebrating their birthdays, accompanying them to their military recruitment interview, ensuring they have a cellphone to stay in touch with their classmates and to call late at night when they're feeling down, and more. Additionally, the children receive legal and administrative support from the association, including representation before state institutions and safeguarding their rights. The team prioritizes the well-being and future of the children, doing everything possible to ease their transition from residential care to adult life. The program operates in collaboration with the Ministry of Justice. Thanks to your donation, we can ensure these children have access to opportunities and support.
