Pinuki Ranch: Riding Therapy for 'Lotem' students- School for Autistic youth
By Pinuki Ranch
Riding Therapy for autistic children Lotem School (tax-deductible)
Donors: 4
Pinuki Farm commemorates the memory of the late Orna Han Moschlin, founder of Lotem School - a regional high school for low-functioning autistic teenagers, by providing individual therapy riding therapy to all students at the school without any payment from the parents or the school.
Up until recently, this project had been funded by
welfare governmental budget and donations, with no charge to the
parents or the school.
Unfortunately,
since the recent war in Israel, governmental support has completely
ceased and donations have all but halted. Yet, Tammy
and Kobi
continue the riding sessions for 16 ‘Lotem’ students at the
expense of their ranch.
There
are about 100 students at ‘Lotem’ who are highly distressed from
the security situation in the region. The riding sessions at our
ranch allow them a small island of sanity.
The
cost of each therapy session is 180 ILS per individual. We aspire to
return
and provide sessions to
all ‘Lotem’ students as once before. This is a total cost of
720,000 ILS (approximately USD 200,000) per year.
