Israel Twito Turns 80

In honor of Israel Twito's 80th birthday, he has chosen to dedicate and donate his birthday gifts to the children of Bet Elazraki Children's Home. Bet Elazraki Children's Home is a place that transforms lives. Within its warm and nurturing walls, approximately 200 at-risk children, aged 6-18, find refuge. These children are referred by the Ministry of Welfare from all over Israel, coming from backgrounds of hardship where their parents were unable to care for them. Many were removed from dangerous and dysfunctional family environments, facing challenges such as substance abuse, mental illness, neglect, and violence. Despite their circumstances, these children possess incredible abilities and potential that we strive to uncover and nurture. From the moment one enters our home, its uniqueness is evident—a rare combination of warmth, love, and professional care, guided by a structured and meticulous model. With a dedicated team and relentless daily efforts, we help each child break the cycle of adversity. We believe that by supporting them in processing past trauma, they can overcome present difficulties, reach their full potential, and build a brighter future. Our approach is based on a threefold model 1. Stability – Ensuring each child has a lifelong home and unwavering support. 2. Academic Success – Strengthening self-esteem and motivation through education, paving the way for future opportunities. 3. Emotional Strengthening – Providing various therapies to foster mental well-being, the foundation for lasting change. Our graduates are living proof of the program’s success. Bet Elazraki has become a model institution in Israel and worldwide. Like proud parents, we celebrate that over 250 of our graduates have broken free from the cycle of risk. They serve in elite IDF units, pursue higher education, hold senior positions, and build loving, stable families of their own—true testaments to breaking the cycle of adversity.
